An unexpected tableau on the Great Plains of Hadley, MA:
American Bison being raised for the table. They’re impressive animals:
Little Bang Theory 
It’s quite amazing to see them in the flesh, isn’t it. So how close were you when you took them?
Well, safely behind a stout wire fence, though it looked flimsy compared to their bulk. I got within about thirty feet of a cow standing in the shade of a maple tree before I saw her lying calf, which explained her clear and consistent warning snorts. Kinda made me reassess the integrity of the barrier between us!
