Morning, Hereabouts. October 25, 2011

On the way to work today, I snagged a quick shot of the sun threatening to rise over the Deerfield river valley:

If you’ve been watching this site for a while, this shot will bore you – I’ve taken dozens of such photos from near here, but somehow the sight just keeps me snapping away, past shots be damned.

Later this week we’re anticipating our first snow, which will again transform our landscape into something magical.

I can’t wait!

Thanks for posting the photo anyhow – it’s breathtaking! I too am looking forward to the snow, however ephemeral it may prove to be.

No more boring than any of your other photos, which is to say NOT AT ALL.

Some of the highest elevations (5k+) in Teh Mountainz, NC got an unexpected snow last weekend. Saw the pics on the Book of Faces. It is almost November, after all. 🙂

Whoa. And ooooooh.

I hear cold weather is coming your way. Stay warm.

Who would think that is boring? Heathens!

5. Laura - October 26, 2011

Well, since I am new here, I’m not bored at all and who in the heck would be bored with that??
Breathtaking for sure. I think that we all have “something” that just takes our breath away and we can’t stop photographing it.
For me-it’s myself. 😛 (I’m so shallow!)

Laura, welcome to my humble e-bode! Regulars here have seen this shot a dozen times, so I’m pleased to hear that they (like me) aren’t sick of the sight.

All of you, thanks so much for your support and encouragement. Some days there’s nothing new to share, and your appreciation of the Same Old keeps me from packing it all up and getting a part-time job bagging groceries.

I guess I just let the cat out of the bag, that I consider photography to be my second job, albeit one with no paycheck attached. Perhaps some day I’ll find a way to change that, In Sh’Allah.

TCR –

You almost make me think about leaving California.

Almost.

Regards,

Tengrain
