No, unfortunately, not the political kind we voted for. I meant the seasonal show Mother puts on for those of us here in the Northeast. I’m afraid a maple fungus will diminish the colors this year, but there will, at least, be something to look at.
Hawley Bog, up in, um, Hawley:
…with cotton grass waving in the breeze.
More views of the boardwalk floating on the delicate bog mat:
…and:
Both shots courtesy of Elliot, thank-you very much.
There’s a possibility we’ll be getting a frost this weekend (!) so stay tuned – this could get good in a hurry. 😉
Elliot does such excellent work. So does his friend CR. These are stunning.
Why, Thank You! 🙂
…And thanks for the Facebook “Like.” I’m kinda faceless, so I missed that initially…
Frost, you say? (I have a book with that title). Hard to imagine. Thank you for the magical bog shots.
“Magical Bog Shots” sounds like a Republican recruitment ploy…
😆
The only kind of change we can count on is Mother’s. The pictures are wonderful.
Thanks Susan. And the changes happening around here are spectacular, as in seeing rivers rerouted. They’ll be awfully raw for the next few years, but In Sh’Allah I’ll still be here when it’s purty again. 🙂
Maple fungus, eh? Lots to do with the weather I guess. Nice bog walk, can you send me a secret email to tell me how to find it?
We work with turf bugs. The one thing I know for sure is that bugs beat people, river beats bugs. People, we can’t win, we are transitory here.
