Here’s a spot I recently checked out along Rte 8A in Heath:
I did it as a black & white, thinking I’ll get back there during the Autumn color season for something substantially more saturated. Winter may yield something interesting as well.
I love the feeling that it’s coming right at me.
Lisa, that’s courtesy of Elliot – I’m actually well off to the side, with the vanishing point causing the top of the dam to drop off steeply to the right, but I corrected that with a rightward shift. The effect is that of being directly in front of the dam, and having the water coming directly at you.

The combination of soft rushing water against the old stonework is a really nice effect. It will be interesting to see the spot in color and in winter too. Good find.

This was a perfect shot to do in black and white. I especially like the space in-between each rock above the waterfall. Bravo!
