Today was a wild day for wildlife; I saw two bears, one while at work and one while driving this evening.
You’ll just have to trust me – I hadn’t a camera handy. 😉
Then I hit a low flying partridge (grazed a wing with my windshield, I think) but couldn’t find the bird – it looked like it flew on. Let’s hope so.
And lastly, I spied Bambi in a newly hayed field, found a place to pull over and went back with Gizmo to try to get something to show you.
Let’s see, it was about… there!
Newly minted this Spring, and cruising the lowlands for tender nibbles.
I followed it for a while, crouched behind the guardrail, ignoring the traffic passing behind me. It looked so innocent and elegant going about its business, foraging and grooming itself of pests:
…and look, there were two of them!
Turned out to be a very wild(life) day for a Thursday!
🙂
So much cute they could probably sell a war. (I was just kidding, DoD).
They are very sweet. I’m glad you’re always watching for opportunities to delight your audience.
btw: I had some problems with posting pictures on wordpress too when I was invited to participate in a political blog. I figured it was the set-up as I’ve seen beautiful art on wordpress sites – including yours.
Randal, I shudder to think of the possibilities – Fawn of the Dead, etc. And the DoD gave up on me when I stopped ranting about the Ass-hats of the Radical Reicht.
Don’t get me started, you’re jamming my crack with meaningful shit when I’m trying to be irrelevant.
Susan, I just about melted watching those little ruminants (I know, “How un-manly!”) And as for WordPress, I don’t imagine they’re worse than other platforms, but I assume they reduce file sizes to improve transfer rates, which doesn’t make for great picture quality. (Part of that is likely me; I don’t input large files so that my stuff won’t be pilfered by others in any sale-able way. That is, I would like to turn my passion into an income at some point, and I don’t want to give the good stuff away.)
