Up here in the hills, there’s still plenty of snow wherever shadows lie deep.
But down in the valley, it’s looking very Spring-like – the snow is mostly gone:
…and the rivers are dropping:
This despite a forecast for 6-12″ of snow on Friday!
March came in like a lion, and seems determined to go out like a, um, lion!

It’s always a treat to come by and spend some time gazing at your photographs. I won’t leave a comment by each but, rest assured, I’ve looked at all of those posted since last time. Nice work.
Thanks, Susan. It’s good to know that you’re enjoying what gets up here despite the generally uninspiring nature of Mud Season.
Oh, sir. The colors bring out the girl in me. Do colors have a gender? Probably not. But when I saw that top photo, I was ready to paint my bedroom one of those sky colors. Any of them. All of them.
Susan is right. Nice work.
Lisa, they bring out the Girl in me too! π
Thanks!
These are lovely. I especially like that you have presented them in a pair, as the colors call back and forth between the two photos.
Six to twelve inches? Nature has a sense of humor, indeed.
[…] not funny, just beautiful over at Little Bang Theory. Someone ‘splain to me why he doesn’t have a gallery […]
When I changed computers 2 years ago I lost you as a favorite. Ah it is good to see you again. I’m also a little familiar with your turf as I have relatives in Hadley.
Clair, we got a pass on that Nor’Easter – just an inch on the ground, with hardly anyone complaining!
Lahru, welcome back! I’ve been slacking this past week, but that will change as Spring takes hold and the Little Things start to pop. π
Now, off to C&L to thank Tengrain for his hand-up!
