Here are a few Black & Whites from our recent ice storm.
North Union Street in Plainfield:
Blackbirds on ice in Hawley:
…and, finally, black cherries in a mixed forest, again up in Plainfield:
Ice storms have their own inherent black-and-whiteness which renders the colors within almost irrelevant.
Next post, more barn shots! 😉
Beautiful. Every year I have a harder and harder time stepping outside. It’s makin’ me kinda sad. 😦
No lectures please. I can see the prayer flags whipping away outside from my window.
I hope you’re doing okay, friend.
Love,
Gina
Yes, I’m doing well, thank you, though a bit melancholy.
It does get harder, doesn’t it? And I love winter, so I can imagine how it feels for those who may always have been less enthusiastic (my Susan has never been a fan…)
I have an alarm set for 5am, hoping to catch sunrise at Hawley Bog, and frankly, the predicted temperature in the low single digits is daunting!
I love b&w photography and these are great examples.
