Ruby Tuesday – In The Snow. December 7, 2009

A pre-dawn shot of a fella shooter.  Lizz Bartlett on the bank of the Deerfield river, capturing a gibbous moon:

…and a shot without the human element, and thus sporting a more dilute rubiness:

I know, that’s stretching the envelope a bit, but it’s what’s cookin’ this week.

For more (and more pronouncedly) ruby photos, stop by Mary’s place, Work of the Poet.

Delightful rubies, both subtle and bold. The snow looks terrific too!

It has been awhile since I traversed I-91 in the beautiful Connecticut River valley. The plains of produce are so productive as they sit nestled between the hills. You make the inevitability of Winter seem so inviting!

3. Leora - December 7, 2009

Lovely, tranquil shots. You have so much snow. The pink skies are splendid.

Yes, Leora, splendid indeed!

And Ralph, I’m pleased to hear that you’ve sampled our local wares. They’re pretty fine, through the changing seasons and the changing light.

Diane, hello. I lived in AZ for a year, and have since missed it. It has such cool corners, along side its crappier manifestations. I’d go back in a heartbeat if I could figure out how to pay the rent there.

But meanwhile, I’m stuck in Massachusetts, and diggin’ that too!

Looks so much fun to watch.

Here’s my Snowy Chinese RT

The red jacket stands out beautifully against the fluffy white snow.
I love the rubiness in the clouds. Not a stretch at all – they are lovely!

Thanks for your visit and the wonderful comment you left about my rose – much appreciated.
Have a wonderful Ruby Tuesday!

Terrific spot of red in cold looking snowscape!

8. dianne - December 8, 2009

lovely shots

9. ilanadavita - December 10, 2009

Both shots are splendid. Glad I got to see them in the end.

so pretty-thanks.

Not at all stretching the envelope. Even without the “human element” of the red jacket, these are perfect with the ruby clouds.

Nice work, as always.
