Lots of wildflowers popping up these days, some showy and obvious, some tiny and subtle. Here’s a selection from my ride home from work.
Bloodroot:
Red Trillium:
Little White Guys (a.k.a. “weeds:”)
…and marsh marigolds:
Enjoy!
Exquisite shots, CR! What incredible beauty!
Ah, wildflowers. 🙂
(also, trillium blooming in April? Is that normal there?)
Actually, everything is a bit early – Gee, I wonder whatever could be UP with that???
I got my tomato plants yesterday, and plan to put them in this week.
So no, it’s not normal!
CR,
I’d hold off on putting the tomatoes in the ground just yet. My dad’s rule of thumb is put them in Memorial Day weekend to be sure they don’t get hurt. There are still going to be nights that get chilly.
Also, I usually see trillium by now, along with the Dutchman’s Britches, wild ginger, blue cohosh and plenty of others. Which reminds me…..I have to get out soon before you take all the photos!
Tschuss!
Like I said……spring through the lens of C.R.
