Ruby Tuesday! March 17, 2009

Well, back in the saddle am I, with a photo I took out my kitchen window this weekend.
I have a pair of cardinals hanging around, waiting for the weather to be right to get their nest up and running. They’re shy, though, and don’t like us Humans and our cameras. So this li’l guy did his best to stay deep in my bushes and thwart my auto-focus, bur Manuel came to my rescue and managed this:
Thanks to Gizmo for the shot, and to Mary at Work Of The Poet for this lovely little meme!
Oh, CR! great to have you back! and the photo is gorgeous! Now, what are we having for dinner? I’m starved!! Do hope you’re feeling better.
Comin’ up, M’Dear!
…But tomorrow, ‘k? Tonight I’m wiped out.
Nice photo and welcome back!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Take care of yourself and don’t do too much too soon.
what a cutie bird!
‘k! Get some rest! What can I say??? I’m a pushy broad! particularly when I’m hungry!
So glad to hear you’re on the mend, but take it slow. It’s good to know of your safe return, and that we’ll be seeing more pictures soon!
This one is lovely! 🙂
Hello and welcome back. I hope good health and functional technology prevail and that your employment is not at risk!
Can’t wait to hear about your journey, which was no doubt both inward and outward.
Fran, You Deep Broad ( 😉 ) you’re so right. Lizz and I had a blast, and for me it was a quarter-century-comin’.
Not that I haven’t had a blast in a quarter century, but rather that I’d meant to get back out west for that long!
The technology is stalled at about 70% and my health is up around 90; all-in-all, I’ll take it. 🙂
And again, still sorting through photos – I’ll be making extra dump runs this weekend!!!
All you other fine folks, thanks for the good energy, stay tuned for the pics!
Greetings from New Orleans, where the Frau and I are instructing young men in the fine arts of home restoration after the government fails to protect you from the elements they said they were protecting you from. My guys have just learnt how to scrape, sand and prime exteriors, and caulk cracks (SNL not withstanding…), and will learn finish painting tomorrow. Lizz is schooling the world leaders of the future in sheetrocking, mud and finish interiors. We’re having fun, and as usual, it’s hard to keep a straight face.
Speaking of straight faces, Ruby Tuesday is, well, Ruby, not Ruben. Pretty little thing, ain’t she?
Yes, he is! (Being the Showy One, despite the intervening branches.)
Glad (but not surprised) to hear you’re enjoying yourselves as you prep Our Future Overlords for their future overlording!
See you when you’re back, it’s getting to be Spring out here and I’m grilling!
my cardinals are anything but shy. they have attitude.
one little guy every morning bangs himself against my neighbor’s bedroom window.
over and over fighting with his reflection. krys has tried just about everything to stop him so he doesn’t hurt himself but nothing works.
we get tons o cardinals back every sping and they are all over my feeders and bushes and my roof.
Cool!!
