A Ringneck Kitteh in the snow:
These poor kittehz aren’t really suited for New England winters. I wonder what it’ll do when there’s two feet of snow.
What a lovely bird! Poor dear, hope he/she can survive — although I guess they’ve been doing it since they’re still there.
Just gorgeous! I hope your holiday was wonderful.
I don’t know how many survive and how many are re-stocked for hunters, but they’re far from native and ill-equipped to handle a New England winter.
Maybe Global Warming will save them.
Vikki, it was nice, had dinner with some dear friends. But tomorrow is my day to feed my family, and I’m going for it.
An account of some sort is sure to follow.
how nice.. they stock birds that have no chance in the New England winter.. what a species we are
we used to have tons of them around but now they’ve been hunted out. it’s rare to see one. there are a few around here but they hide well. they have no trouble with pennsylvania winters but our weather isn’t as strong as yours.
How pleasant.
Oh, wait.
sherry, I’m not sure that they can’t survive our winters, but I know they’re Asian imports and was recently told that they fare poorly in full-on winter conditions.
It’s strange to think that Global Warming might be a boon to critters which we intend to kill anyway…
They’re pretty. So are swans. Too bad they don’t really belong here. Sigh.
Dinner was yummy, Ralph. I forgot to ask you if you grew those golden beets yourself. Those were so good! Better than red beets and I love red beets.
Your apartment is cozy and very homey. Sometimes I envy you for being single and having such a cool pad! 😉
I’d like to take you over to my friend Steve’s blog: Color Sweet Tooth for something really special that I think you will appreciate seeing. Just go to my blog and click on the link on my blog list.
Peace,
Gina
‘k.
Great to have you over, and glad you liked dinner!
Oh, and Steve is amazing, he blows me away with every post!
But what post of his are you referring to as being relevant to me? I musta missed something. 😦
