So We Don’t Forget. September 26, 2008

What a world, what a world.
My 401K is in the toilet, and my van is dying.
And tonight I have to try to stomach the bullshit of a “Presidential Debate” on the ‘puterbox radio while keeping an ear out for some Hopeful Words.
I might think that things kinda sucked in my life, if it weren’t for the people I love, and the people who love me.
And for my appreciation of the fact that everything is relative, and for some people it sucks a whole lot harder.
We’re presently at war, and people are dying. Decrying it is not enough. We need to make it stop.
Stand against War, my friends, and Work for Peace.
– I Heart Peace, Sept 2008
Wow – what an image… what a post.
Thank you and peace.
You’re welcome, fran.
That is an incredible photo.
You’ve got my vote! Great post! and all too true. And, hey, how about that image! You’re at the top of the list. Thank you and blessings be yours!
You are dead-on, as we sit stranded in my house because there is no gas available with in 30 miles of our house.
Well done, you. You recognized my neck? I recognize your peace sign.
Never before have I better understood the phrase “A picture is worth a thousand words.” However desperately I want you to understand my reaction to this photograph, attempting to pin down the language to do my emotions justice would be all but pointless.
Know that you have made me feel the same passion you felt in creating this. Know – and I type this with a subtle grin – that I am floored by my Father’s artistic innovation; how did you manage to bring those two pinnacles of quiescence and truth into such clear focus against your baldy head 🙂 using absolutely nothing but your mediocre technology and the seemingly inadequate electric lighting inside your apartment? This photo tells it just like it is, Dad. Peace.
Well, My Sweet, you’re asking a lot of good questions. I set this up on SG1s bed, because it had the least cluttered background. Then I played with the lights ’till it looked dramatic. Then I took thirty or so photos to winnow it down to this one, and here it is.
I’m glad you saw something in it.
Powerful image. Wow! Your words, too. Peace is the only way.
oh, oh what a perfect photo!!!!!!
thanks!
Stunning, Ralph.
Jen, I got lucky. I worked real hard at it, and I got lucky.
