So what if my latest attempt to make raviolis failed like a crocheted condom!

So I’ll make THIS instead, Fresh Pasta with Black Trumpets:

That’s black and red chanterelles with sun-dried tomatoes and caramelized red onions over fresh tri-colour linguine, topped with grated parmesan and olive oil.

That looks wonderful! You already know about my attempt at ravioli.
I was thinking of getting a manual pasta maker for various other pastas. What do you think? I’ve never used one before, so I don’t know what to expect. I’m trying to get up the gumption to try the ravioli again now that I have the proper tools assembled AND a little ‘sperience under my belt! There is no such thing as fresh, local pasta here.

“There is no such thing as fresh, local pasta here. “

Vikki, that might be the saddest thing I hear all week! At least I hope so…

I’m thinking of a manual pasta machine as well, ‘cept I have a tendency to accumulate STUFF and need to think hard about how often I’ll use it.

If you get one, let me know what you think!

manual pasta machines are easy to use and work well. if you get one and like it, they sell motors that can be attached. i don’t have one but it would make using both hands a lot easier on the dough.

ummmm. it’s 5:45 and I haven’t had dinner, so my mouth is watering somethin’ fierce.

We have an invitation to dinner at the BBQ place in Brattleboro but I’m trying to lay off the meat and I’ll be ordering roasted root veggies and an ear of corn.

Oh, I have your hat with the green band. It got mixed up with the girls’ hats at the Green River Fest. In case you’ve been wondering….

My Hat!! Yes, please! 🙂

And good call on the roasted roots, I love those little guys!

And sherry, no motors, thanks. I need the exercise. 😉

I’ve never heard of black and red chantrelles. We only have yellow and white ones here. Your blog makes me hungry.
