Sometimes these things don’t come together in any coherent way. Sometimes they’re just photographs.
So here are some “just photographs” to tide you over until I think of something intelligent to say.
In other words, look long and hard, ’cause this may take a while! 😆
The view from the hills on the way to work:
Yeah, I know, deja do. I told you this was gonna be a march…
Down by the river on a summer evening:
…Where the jewel weed grows waist high and succulent:
Listen: do you hear it? The music of this valley, born on the wind – the history, the spirit of the place, the ghosts of the past dimly in our midsts:
We ignore these things at our peril; we destroy them to our eternal shame.
I hope my forays into nature will encourage you to look up at the clouds, look down below your feet and look inside yourselves for the truth of our inextricable links to Mother Earth and Father Sky.
Namaste.
Once again, great and interesting pics random or not.
I’ve got to say it C.R. You live in a truely beautiful place. So do I. Sometimes we just need to pause and drink it all in. Your photographs remind me to stop; breathe; and appreciate what we all have before us. Thanks for that.
Love, V.
Water can do amazing things to rock and shell.
And jewel weed and Indian pipe! How beautiful!
Your random pics were pretty special.
oh!
The rock picture looks like a skull. And I love those jewel weeds and their little open mouths.
Cuz, I love the Indian Pipes. Botanicals sans chlorophyll are awesome!
You guys are great! Always so kind and supportive, even when I flounder a bit. Thank you.
Actually, after an ill-timed disclaimer about being in a wordless place, I did manage to babble a bit, inspired by my humble images of the awesome world in which we live.
Thank You, Mother Earth; Thank You, Father Sky!
I just can’t believe that you live among such varied beauty. Incredible pictures, CR.
