Sunsets have been strangely bland this summer, or else astonishingly fleeting.
Here’s one which didn’t get away:
No adjustments there, just a slight crop.
I’m expecting to see more of these as Autumn approaches.

Thank you so much for captuing this moment! I haven’t seen a sunset like this in so long; except for tonite. We were driving back from Palmer after attending the AK. State Fair and suddenly; a beautiful sunset accompanied us home. We didn’t have a camera.

This is truly a beautiful sunset! You must have sat and watched it until it disappeared – that’s what I would have done. So glad you captured it.
Now THAT is a ridiculously groovy shot. Few things are better than a top-notch sunset.

Vikki, sometimes having a camera gets in the way of being in the moment, especially if one is working hard to capture a fleeting something.

Sometimes I save up for a few days or more before coming over here since I know the pictures and written thoughts will provide spiritual sustenance.

I have dry spells, busy spells, spells with a tin eye, bouts of depression, and nothing comes of my wanderings. But then something clicks, usually in an unanticipated venue, and I get a few shots. I’m trying to keep them coming; sorry for the sporadic nature of it all… 😦
The obstacles you describe are probably true of most creative people. Your work is worth waiting for.
True, I suppose, at the risk of claiming the mantle of being creative… I am, after all, a bit linear for that appellation! 😉
