Up in Winsor, a high, wind-swept field…

…With Irises…

…and Buttercups:

And in the valley below, a shaded stream:

with deep, ledgy pools dappled with sunlight:

Atop the next hill, water lilies sprout in a pond in Plainfield,

And lastly, a cascade on the Deerfield near home:

A day with good light is a thing of wonder.

Are photos supposed to draw sounds out of us? Because I just embarrassed myself in front of my children who only hear that sound coming from behind a closed bedroom door.;-)

I’m loving those water photos. They make me feel quite cool, even as I’m all hot and bothered from the yellow/purple combo of the iris and buttercup.
