Another day, another dollop.
Well, not quite a dollop, perhaps a bit more chunked up than “dollop” might suggest.
Tonight, scallops with lemon and basil, with an assortment of lightly braised peppers, served over American basmati rice:

Little Bang Theory 
Mmmm. Thanks. I had me some pesto-ish thing (there was no greenery in it, hence the “ish” – I am just back from a long trip and kind of threw things together) made with spring garlic (there would have been the green stalks, but they had dried up in the fridge while I was away so I used only the young bulbs), grated parmesan, walnuts, and olive oil, tossed with organic whole wheat fettucine.
It did the trick.
I forgot my damned glasses at work today and I’m having trouble reading. When I first looked at the photo, I thought your scallops were banana slices. ummm….anyway…
And wow, does that ever look good! A Cunning Concoction.
Wait. I don’t mean to be a pain but why do all of the comments here have little quilt avatars in the right hand corner? These things are IMPORTANT to me. 🙂
No idea – I’m not an avatar kinda guy, And frankly, I never notice them unless somebody mentions them!
Jane, that sounds absolutely delicious – I’m a big fan of white pestos!
I’m heating left-over pizza from Dominos. I came here for politics and what do I get but “I cook better than you do, na na na na na na.” And pictures just to rub it in a bit. Now I’m completely disgusted with myself. I’m going to have to hide in the corner as I scarf down my used pizza.

I don’t usually beg, but yesterday when I first checked my computer I had an email from Robert Wexler asking me to sign a petition in support of impeachment. I have the email up on my site. Please sign up. It may be too late, but at least Pelosi and Reed witll know we care that they are cowards, and Cucinich and Wexler will know we believe they are doing the right thing.
A wave as I’m passing by. If you were female I’d be begging you to write a short story, but I definitely detect testosterone here. Bye!
