OK, enough of the socio-political stuff – it’s time for dinner!
Tonight, some fresh Spinach and Roasted Garlic Raviolis, topped with a Hot Sopressata and Ramp Cream Sauce, and served with a side of wilted organic baby spinach and red Cerignola olives:
Enjoy!
UPDATE: This tasty dish got stuck in WordPress’ craw ’till this morning, so “tonight” looks a little goofy up there. Musta been one of those unpitted olives…
I’m viewing this at 12:23 p.m. so…this would make a very luscious brunch…with white wine, hmmm?
looks so good. even the olives. ; )
Correct As Usual, Queen Friday!
And regarding the Lucinda sighting predicted at the Green River Music Festival, I’m so TOTALLY there, as long as it’s not the last weekend in June, when I’ll be above the clouds on Mount Washington!
(With apologies to my blog community who weren’t privy to the phone messages PS and I have been exchanging.)
…And sherry, I know they’re not your favorite, but olives are so much fun, especially the ones with pits, ’cause they make one slow down, chew lightly, use your hands a bit and generally get into the moment, which I believe ALL food should do.
I think the world would be a better place if “utensils” hadn’t been invented and we all had to eat with our hands. Knowing your food in that way is a gift which connects us to the Real World from which it comes.
We should try to make it a family thing. Think we can pull it off?
🙂
i just had a flash from close encounters, making a mashed potato mountain! ; )
Oh, Mount Washington. A certain hike in that mountain range comes to mind…Mount Jefferson in July. I think I experienced the most extremes in The Presidentials. The coldest day ever in January and the hottest, buggiest day ever in July.
Are you rendezvouzings with Mark?
No, it’s a photo weekend with Lizz, timed for the flower blooms in the Alpine Garden.
Wish me luck, as my ankle hasn’t allowed me to consider a Mt.Washington excursion in some years!
Yum, thank god I just had breakfast!
