Well, sort of.
Except that there’s a new coating of snow, with the plowed banks towering over a parked car.
At least it’s like that up in the High Country:
Down in the valley where I live, it’s a bit less pristine, with the Plowing of The Snow being superimposed on Mud Season.
Trust me, you don’t need a photo, ’cause it ain’t pretty.
But uphill from here, it’s still white and clean, though I haven’t heard a peep from the pick-your-own blueberries…
I’m working on being patient without losing sight of The Future.
this winter is dragging on and on and on and…..
i need spring! boy, do i!
You’re making me feel guilty for our lovely weather. (And a little trepidation about moving back north. Am I nuts to leave GA for the Northeast?)
I want a picture of the snow/mud combo. I grew up 5 miles up a dirt road, and every spring there was a portion of it that became a complete morass of mud – north side of a hill, next to a creek. The man who lived in the house there pretty much just kept his tractor sitting by the side of the road to pull people out. The mud was often knee deep.
My parents bought a reddish-brown car, just because of the mud season.
Oh, the photos you did post are, as always, wonderful!
DCup, no you’re not nuts. New England is just a full value place, we try to squeeze the most out of each season. Plus you can do like me and escape for a few weeks to sunnier climes. My daughters live in Atlanta and their descriptions of the past few weeks of weather makes NE seem pretty tame by comparison.
Tschuss!
