Nature. Child of Mother Earth and Father Sky. The Temple where my soul goes to die and be reborn. The reason I carry on through the lies and the pain and the bullshit.
In a season which has been sorely lacking the vibrant colors for which October in The Berkshires is justifiably famous, the only significant color this year is at the water’s edge.
For this small blessing I thank you, Mother and Father.
oh my, what a blessing.
I don’t expect much color here atall. We’re (obviously) behind you down here in NC, as far as fall is concerned, but there has already been color change on a fair number of treees – straight from green to brown. We’re starting to get some yellows now on the beech trees in the woods around the Secret Lair (aka ’73 Winnebago), but I don’t ‘spect it’ll last.
At least you got some colors, bro!
Nice shot.
Thanks Phy, and Sherry, yes, I’m feeling blessed these days. Despite the dearth of color this year, the weather has been beautiful for recreating outdoors, which is my schtick.
You know, I’d be happy to trade a few evening hikes for the colors of Autumn. But I guess that’s not my choice 😉
Beautiful picture, beautiful words.
Happy Autumn.
