In the high country of Monroe, where it’s always 10 degrees cooler.
With the road closed due to a busted bridge and the sound of the waterfall over my shoulder, it was good.
this sounds silly, but it’s an honest question. don’t your hands hurt?
Not really, except when climbing cracks of awkward widths. Then they can get pretty well mangled if your technique isn’t good. On this kind of slab or “face climbing” a more common problem would be tendonitis in the hands and elbows, but adequate rest and hydration and a modicum of attention to style go a long way toward preventing problems.
i’ll take your word for it. me, i can trip and fall going up the stairs!
