…Oh wait, that’s not a kitty – it’s a beautiful doe I spotted on the way home from work tonight.
Got within about thirty feet of it for this photo.
I’m kinda thinking it’s God’s way of saying that the world is worth living in, even if Scooter did walk.
I got yer kitty right here!!
Oh, and nice photo!! (as always)
Sucks that Scooter walked. But you and God have it right. The best revenge is to enjoy life despite their best efforts. I posted a “West Coast” deer today to go with your “East Coast” post.
Holy Cow, P-Dawg! I tawt I taw a Puddy-Tat!
Hear tell you have lots of those Bad Boys down your way. Are they scarfin’ the young ‘uns like they do in CO and CA?
I spend a LOT of time in remote, rocky areas of Western Mass and see a good deal of large scat full of hair and bones, on top of big boulders. That’s not bear or coyote. And I know folks who have seen catamount locally, though the Fish and Game won’t admit that they’re here.
It’s a little scary; I’m pretty lunchable!
Beautiful, Karen. Makes me miss California, been a while since I was there. The Sierras might be my favorite place on Earth (and the Pacific Ocean doesn’t suck either! 🙂
Wow. I didn’t know that anyone (other than Western Carolina University students/fans/alumni) even used the word catamount! As far as I know, there have been no attacks ’round these parts. And, yeah, I’ve seen lots of evidence too, in Pisgah National Forest and over in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. But they ain’t s’posed to be (according to Wildlife) in the Greater Asheville/Hendersonville Metropoid area – which I’m kinda/sorta on the edge of.
