Breaking News from New York Senator Kirsten Gillibrand:
The Senate just passed the STOCK (Stop Trading On Congressional Knowledge) Act, meant to end the “insider trading” which has long transpired among our elected officials. This despicable (and illegal!) behavior by our Senators and Congresspersons, based on what they know and learn through their work (information denied to the general public) has been a source of enrichment for those who We The People elect to represent our interests, but who aren’t shy about getting the jump on you and me whenever the opportunity presents itself.
Let’s see if this move toward leveling the playing field for ALL AMERICANS actually materializes, or if “our guys” find a way to keep their Gravy Train on track.
