A big red barn glares suspiciously at a pair of ominously leaning silos:
Kind of a lightweight entry into the Ruby Tuesday meme, but that’s what I have this week.

Not lightweight at all! A lovely compostion, with the human built barn and round silo on one side and the natural winding tree encompassing it.
maybe it’s the barn that’s leaning?
I love red barns
always dreamed of renovating one somewhere in the NW between San Fran and Seattle and living a bohemian life
beautiful shot as always
This barn is clad in the best color on this structure, barn ruby. I assume that it is a photographic effect that shows the leaning silos. That is I hope! This is a beautiful farm, the CT River valley so wonderful!
Leora, yes, a natural sight locally, nature imbued with the effects of its human occupiers.
dianne, go for it. Some of the coolest abodes hereabouts are Good Barns Gone Bad.
Ralph, this shot was done with a 16mm lens rather than Elliot, which would have corrected the perspective and avoided the vertical convergence which yields the “leaning” effect. But I wanted that effect, so left the leaning in the photo.
And yeah, the CT River valley is an amazing palate, filled with both the past and the present.
What a cool barn and I agree with Leora, not at all lightweight. I like the perspective.
Great colorful barns…..i think am gonna design my house like that…hhehehhe lots of color ruby…..join me too this RT.
I love how you took the shot with the big looming tree in the foreground. It looks like the barn is yearning for summer!
thats perfect!
