Today was kind to me. It took me away from the troubles of society and threw the world against my windshield.
It was hard to ignore.
Approaching North Adams just before sunrise:
Bushes on the job site, stark and expectant:
Lunch along the road, at a high meadow in Florida, on my way to the afternoon’s gig:
And a visit to my recent favorite overlook as the day ended:
I’m thrilled. I feel like I wrestled a good day of photographs out of a day of poor light.
I’ll take that as compensation for all of the days when I get nothing worth sharing.
Thank You, Mother Earth.
Thank You, Father Sky.

Ah, back to beautiful things that feed us and wrap a shroud around the ugly. It’s been a better day, huh?
How beautiful!
Yes, Sylvia, better.
Nature sustains me through these times when I lose faith in Humanity, and gives me space in which to move forward.
Margie, Thanks. I’m trying to share what I see without interfering with the vision. I know I fall short of that ideal, but I’m having fun aspiring to it.
Beautimous pictures, as ever. And you ain’t falling short of anything!
Cuz, don’t know if you feel like engaging the “enemy” right now, but this post at C&L made me think of your efforts on the Town Square a while back.
Bob, I see how that relates to my reality. But you were astute in anticipating my reluctance to quarrel at just this time. I’m a bit too angry to honor my point of view, so I’m going to wait a while before engaging “the enemy.”
I think you caught the light just right.. or it caught you.
An excellent day! I love the layers of colors in the first and third shots. They are all wonderful. They must have restored you.
