‘K, so it’s the growing season again, and I’m in hot pursuit of local, organic, wild edibles.

‘Cause you know, I’m really not a big fan of Monsanto’s genetically-fucked-up Frankenfood.

And a carbon footprint of, um, ZERO sounds great to me.

So I was pleased to find these delicate beauties along the road on my way home from work on Friday:

Yeah, those are oyster mushrooms. And they’re about to be consumed by slugs, or “Berkshire Escargot,” as they’re locally known.

Well, let me tell you, I put the brakes on that action by, uh, harvesting them for my personal consumption. ‘Cause you know, if your incarnations go through incremental changes, it takes a lot longer to get to heaven! :lol:

I must say that I am not a mushroom fan. Try not to hold that against me, ok?
