Yeah, I know, I’m falling down on the job. Low morale, I’m gettin’ fat, my ass hurts from laying in bed, driving’s painful.
Poor Me.
Tried to get up for some Sunrise pics; slept ’till 11am, then watched the entire Davis Fleetwood catalog (thanks for the headworm, Cuz!)
Then spent two hours getting showered and dressed with one hand and made it to the High Country just after the best Sunset colors had passed.
The Consolation Prize: a way – high contrail, still in the sun:
Then, as I turned to leave: a Moonrise over a massive cloud-bank disappearing eastward, still holding a delicate pink afterglow from its embrace of the sun:
Oh well. Ya Snooze, Ya Lose. Unless there’s still some desert left.

Sorry ’bout that, Cuz.
But I totally made up for it with the Victor and Regi, didn’t I?
Oh, yeah, pics.
Awesome, as usual.
Wow! C.R. Electric Blue! Beautiful!
i saw the moon this morning . i watched the pinks come from the clear dark blues.
last night, the full moon was so bright on the snow that the light came thru the heavy bedroom curtains.
The first is excellent, the second is wondrous.
I’m making one of those pics my new wallpaper!
Phy, you sure did! I’m a sucker for musical (or any ) virtuosity. BOY did that make me smile!!! Amazing!
DC, yeah, I played with it for a while…
then I adjusted the photo colors to approximate the emotional impact of being there. The first didn’t quite come out as planned, but the moonrise, for me, hit the mark. It was really stunning in person!
Sherry, isn’t that an amazing time, when the black night sky flushes to that Midnight Blue, then the pinks come up?!?
Randall, thanks!
CK, I wish I could too, bot I have picky landlords, so I better not!
You sure take some neat-o pics. Thanks.
