It’s an Early Winter here in Massachusetts. Beset by the vagaries of La NiƱa, regaled by the predictable unpredictability of New England weather, we’re right now heading into our fourth significant winter storm. It’s good news if you like to ski or are hoping for a White Christmas; not so much if your back hurts when you shovel or if you can’t drive in this stuff.
The sunrises have been spectacular
and the countryside, illuminated by intermittent bright sun and blue skies, breathtaking.
This afternoon brought a mackerel sky, in advance of tonight’s Weather Event:
and this evening produced another few Moments of Wonder.
Thank you, Mother Earth. Thank you, Father Sky.

As beutimous as these pics are, the ones on t’other post of the stream and the snow covered firs are what send me over the edge.
‘Cause that’s what it used to look like in the winter at “the old homeplace”.
Again, a pox on all those who contribute to climate change!*
*and, of course, I mean those who do so not giving a shit about the consequences. We all are contributors….
Two things:
One, I feckin’ hate it when spell a made up word wrong. “beautimous”
Two, tag, you’re it!!!!
( I also hate it when I leave words out of sentences….)
I need snow to calm me.
great pics………….
just too amazing.
Oh, so lovely. Winter is something I like to experience at a distance. True winter that is, with snow and ice and the like.
